KEY ACCCOUNT MANAGER (FULL-TIME / DELTA, BC)

Hain Celestial Canada, a division of the US-based Hain Celestial Group, is a leading organic and natural products company with operations in North America, Europe and India. We provide consumers with superior food and personal care products for a healthier way of life. We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role for a Key Account Manager (DELTA, BC).

The Key Account Manager is accountable for achieving customer specific sales and profit targets. The focus is to develop sales for our customers through direct or distributor channels to achieve Hain Celestial Canada’s corporate volume and contribution objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve sales and revenue goals and initiatives that drive results within established account base
  • Develops and executes annual business plans that deliver against company objectives
  • Adapts knowledge of customer strategies to the company strategy to optimize sales potential
  • Formally aligns cross-functional business teams mutually satisfying the organization and customer needs
  • Successfully implement brand strategies for the account
  • Liaise with the customer on a regular basis to assess their needs and offer expertise based customer analysis, market trends and strategic growth plans
  • Analyze data and sales performance including promotional analysis
  • Collaborate with Customer Marketing to develop innovative new products, product launches, new packaging and promotions and capitalize on effective merchandising and display opportunities
  • Development of presentations, business reviews and proposals for both internal and external partners
  • Forecasting: develop timely and accurate forecasts
  • Trade Spend Management
  • Analyze and make assumptions for Joint Business Planning Processes
  • Seeks, creates and develops new business opportunities to drive sales, profit
  • Participate in trade shows and other commercial events

 

COMPETENCIES (Behavioural & Technical Skills)

  • Knowledge and understanding of account planning processes (planning, objective setting, presentations, and administration)
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong strategic, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • General business acumen with a solid understanding of, and ability to bring together financial performance indicators, brand management principles and effective selling skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong competency with ACNielsen, Aztec and Workstation

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 3 - 5 years’ sales experience preferably within the Canadian food industry and/or CPG experience required
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Experience in operations, category management, retail merchandising, and trade marketing is also an asset
  • Sales experience calling on Save-On-Foods, Safeway, Sobeys, Federated Coop, London Drugs, Shoppers Drug Mart, & Distributors is also an asset
